Cancellation policy for hosts

OUR CANCELLATION POLICIES (for HOSTS)

1. When You list Your Accommodation, You must choose which type of cancellation policy You will offer to Guests and that cancellation policy will form part of Your Listing.

2. These are Our cancellation policies that you must choose from:

Extremely Relaxed - Free cancellation up to 1 day before arrival date if a Guest cancels 1 full day or more before the date of arrival at Your Accommodation, they will get a full refund.

E.G: The Guest accommodation is booked for 30 th of June, Guest can cancel and get free refund up to 11:59pm on 28 th of June.

Relaxed - Free cancellation up to 3 days before arrival date if a Guest cancels 3 full days or more before the date of arrival at your accommodation, they will get a full refund.

E.G: The Guest accommodation is booked for 30 th of June. The Guest can cancel and get free refund up to 11:59pm on 26 th of June, but after that time, they cannot cancel without forfeiting the Booking Fee.

Flexible - Free cancellation 7 days before arrival date

If a Guest cancels 7 full days or more before the date of arrival at your accommodation, they will get a full refund.

E.G: The Guest accommodation is booked for 30 th of June. The Guest can cancel and get free refund up to 11:59pm on 22 nd of June, but after that time, they cannot cancel without forfeiting the Booking Fee.

Moderate - Free cancellation 14 days before arrival date

If a Guest cancels 14 full days or more before the date of arrival at your accommodation, they will get a full refund.

E.G: The Guest accommodation is booked for 30th of June. The Guest can cancel and get free refund up to 11:59pm on 15 th of June, but after that time, they cannot cancel without forfeiting the Booking Fee

Strict - Free cancellation 28 days before arrival date

If a Guest cancels 28 full days or more before the date of arrival at your accommodation, they will get a full refund.

E.G: The Guest accommodation is booked for 30th of June. The Guest can cancel and get free refund up to 11:59pm on 1 st of June, but after that time, they cannot cancel without forfeiting the Booking Fee

Non-Refundable: If a Guest cancels at any time, they will not receive a refund.

NOTE: If You choose this cancellation option for your Listing, the Booking Fee will be reduced and the Guest will receive a 12% discount.

3. By Listing, You agree to be bound by and to accept the Cancellation Policy You have chosen.

IF A GUEST CANCELS A BOOKING

4. If a Guest cancels a Booking, We will refund them the Booking Fee according to the Cancellation Policy You stated in the Listing, less any fees or charges made to us by our bank.

5. If a Guest is a ‘no-show’ We will not refund them the Booking Fee (and We will pay it to You less our Service Fee), except in exceptional circumstances, in which case We will notify You as soon as We make the decision to refund them.

6. If a Guest arrives at the Accommodation but does not wish to stay because the accommodation does not accord with the Listing, We will refund the guest the Booking Fee, and We will charge You an additional Service Fee for that Booking next time a Booking is confirmed by You via Our Website. This is intended to cover Our fees, costs and expenses in dealing with the Guest and making the refund to them.

YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL A GUEST BOOKING

7. If You have to cancel the Accommodation for any reason, We will refund the Guest in full, and We will charge You the Service Fee for that Booking next time a Booking is confirmed by You via Our Website. This is intended to cover Our fees, costs and expenses in dealing with the Guest and making the refund to them.

8. If You wish to cancel a Booking part way through the Guest’s stay (for example due to the behaviour of the Guest), We will only refund the Booking Fee to the Guest except in exceptional circumstances in our absolute discretion and We will pay You the Booking Fee less our Service Fee.

9. We may agree to waive our Service Fee for cancelled Bookings in exceptional circumstances. Please contact us at [email protected] to discuss this with Us.

IF YOU WISH TO DEACTIVATE or CANCEL YOUR LISTING WITH US

10. If you want to cancel Your Listing with us please email us at [email protected].

11. If You want to deactivate Your listing please follow the steps here.

12. You may not deactivate or delete Your Listing at any time that You have an active or unfulfilled Booking.

EFFECTS OF CANCELLATION

13. If you cancel the Contract for Hosts, we will send you a statement of any Booking fees that are owed to You by Us and our Service Fees on those and We will settle any amounts owing to You within 14 days of the date of that statement into the account You have provided Us with details for. We cannot pay You into any new bank account or one that is different to the one we have previously made payments into.

14. If You do not believe that Our statement is correct, You must provide us with your corrections by email within 14 days of the date of that statement and we will investigate these and provide You with our final decision within 7 days of your reply. We will then make the payment to You as above.
